June 2008 - 324+ pips for the month

I did not provide any signals last night and will likely not post any till after the 4th of July. The USD regained strength and it was good we closed our trades on Friday.
The market is once again consolidating after strong losses for the USD and given the holiday week the signals are not clear at the moment.
Goes to the philosophy "do not trade for the sake of trading". Rather wait for the correct signals and try to trade and pick your moments.

Continue to check the blog in case I do put signals.
Also please let me know if there is any particular topic you want me to post upon.
I have put out a free system on www.myforexdna.collectivex.com for those interested in trading on their own without having to rely on signals from me.
I have quite a few other systems which I can post if I find reader interest.

Up 324+ pips for June 2008 month to date !!

As you can see I am up more than 324 pips for the month !!

I closed my trades today morning as it is Friday. I was up significantly more before 8:00 am EST and while I would have let my trades run for the weekend, that's not necessarily wise.

As I continue to tweak my system, I am sticking to my rules and closing the trade and cashing whatever profits I can and make more some other day instead of trying to hog everything in one day.

I will post my analysis again over the weekend, however keep in mind due to the July 4th holidays market may not move much.

Up 181 pips for the month: Trades for tonight Thursday June 26, 2008 at 7:40 pm EST

The market broke thru today with the weakening of the stock market and rise in the oil prices. Our trades were mostly favorable and I closed the GBP/USD in the morning prematurely. I am up about 181 pips for month to date. Lost on the USD/JPY long position but was good for others. I have closed the EUR/USD, USD/CHF from yesterday and will place new ones today. The AUD and NZD trades are still open and I will let them ride it out. I am going to leave them open.

If any of your trades do not execute in the morning just cancel them.I would suggest you close out all your trades Friday evening before close of trading day or during the day.The above is a snapshot of my practise account as of tonight. The market has been ranging for the past 2 weeks now. So I am up about 30 pips for month to date. The market was a pendulum today. Prior the the FA today I was in the negative on GBP and positive for the USD. Subsequent to the FA it was just the opposite and then later in the afternoon it was a second round of blast. Anyway all my trades are still open. I am down slight bit today but the trades are still open. I am going to leave them open.

If any of your trades do not execute in the morning just cancel them.I would suggest you close out all your trades Friday evening before close of trading day or during the day.

So I am up about 54 pips for month to date. The USD/JPY ended in a loss for the day but my AUD and NZD trades which I have open since last week turned around for a positive balance. They are still open and I am going to let them run tonight.

Trades for Tonight - Monday June 23, 2008 - 9:20 pm EST

So I am up about 35 pips for month to date. The GBP/USD closed for an 80 pips profit as I closed it in the morning around 7:45 am. I should have left it open in which case I would have made the full 85 pips profit. I cancelled all other trades as none of them executed. I forgot to close the AUD and NZD trades open since last week which turned negative and hence the slight loss for the day. These are still open and against my better judgement I will let them remain open.

So I am down approx $ 18/- (18 pips approx) for the month so far.

Last week due to some issues with my computer I was forced to close out my trades for a loss. It was good I did as they would have resulted in larger losses, but I was not able to close my trades for a profit on Friday due to the same issues.

Which brings me to the point of should one let the trades remain open over the weekends.

Folks,
My trade for the USD / CAD ended in a 100 pips loss but my trades for NZD/USD and USD/JPY are still open.
Tonight I am having issues connecting to the trading platform and have contacted the tech support of the broker hoping to have the issues resolved.
I am going to leave the trades open but will not be able to provide signals or detailed analysis.
Please pardon the inconvienence and bear with me as I am hoping the issues will be resolved by tomorrow and I should have signals tomorrow.

Please note the negative interest / rollover fee is the interest on carry trades charged on the practise accounts. FXCM does not let you earn interest on carry trades in practise accounts. In real life depending upon your broker if you have a 2% account you should be able to earn interest on carry trades.

The trades for NZD/USD and USD/CAD from last night are still open. They are a bit in the negative and I will let them run. Made 100 pips on the AUD/USD today !! The market reversed overnight and closed for the full amount of profit.

The USD/CHF did not execute and I have cancelled the order.
